Oxa
Who are we?
Oxa is enabling the transition to self-driving vehicles through an initial focus on the most commercially advanced sector; the autonomous shuttling of goods and people.
We are home to some of the world’s leading experts on autonomous vehicles, creating solutions such as Oxa Driver, equipping vehicles with full self-driving functionality; Oxa MetaDriver, using Generative AI to accelerate and assure the safety of deployments; and Oxa Hub, a set of cloud-based offerings for autonomous fleet management. Our technology is being deployed worldwide, and we’re partnering with a fast-growing ecosystem of operators, vehicle OEMs and equipment makers serving autonomous transportation globally as it advances.
Based in Oxford, and with offices in Canada, Oxa was founded in 2014 and has grown rapidly. Our purpose is to change the way the Earth moves, through an uncompromising focus on safety, efficiency and explainability of our AI approaches.
Your Role:
Step into a pivotal role at Oxa during an exciting period of change as our Finance Systems and FP&A Analyst. This is a broad remit, covering traditional FP&A, finance systems and data management responsibilities across a growing, international business including development centres and joint ventures. The individual will need to bridge the gap between the often distinct responsibilities of FP&A, finance systems and wider business data architecture. The objective is not only to manage and drive budgets, forecasts and insightful analysis, but also be the architect and custodian of the underlying data structures and the associated systems & tools.
FP&A & commercial insight
- Financial modelling - Maintain and improve the financial model, upgrading where and when required to ensure integrity, efficiency & adaptation to the growth of the business and improvements in available tools and AI.
- Process & collaboration - Standardise financial planning processes across departments to eliminate data silos and promote consistency.
- Budget & forecast management - drive the technical and administrative delivery of the annual budget and rolling forecasts, obtaining inputs from business leaders and budget owners, and challenging inputs & assumptions when required.
- Commercial insight - Perform deep-dive analysis into business performance and outlook, providing senior leadership with insightful and timely reporting.
Systems architecture, development & integrity
- Ecosystem ownership - Act as the functional lead for the implementation, integration and maintenance of the ERP system and connected finance tools, ensuring the structures and master data clearly and accurately support the complexity and growth journey of the business.
- Process automation - Identify & determine solutions for inefficiencies and bottlenecks in Finance processes and controls, and architect system-based solutions (automated reconciliations, data triggers) to solve them.
- Inter-departmental data & process flows - Work with non-finance teams (e.g. Procurement, Commercial, Engineering, HR) to ensure their departmental data feeds into systems with accuracy, integrity and timeliness, creating a "Single Source of Truth" that all stakeholders can benefit from.
Data Engineering & Business Intelligence
- BI architecture - Develop and automate reporting (e.g. with tools such as Power BI or Jet Reports) that sits on top of the ERP. Build dashboards to support day-to-day analysis and decision making outside of more formal reporting.
- Inter-department data collaboration – ensure all key stakeholders and departments have an equal understanding of the data structure and applications, and how it is mapped to financial reporting & measurements.
- Data governance - Maintain the integrity, accuracy and completeness of financial data, and be pro-active in driving the business towards a cohesive and value-add data storage and management strategy.
What you need to succeed:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable but part-qualified candidates with significant experience in the key responsibilities of the role will also be considered.
- Extensive experience within financial analysis or systems roles.
- Proven experience driving full annual budget & regular forecasting processes in a complex, changing environment.
- Significant experience managing or heavily configuring an ERP (Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, Sage) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience working with non-finance stakeholders (Engineering, HR, Sales) to translate operational activity into financial data.
- Understanding of relational databases, data entities and best practice of financial data management is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, tackling tasks and problems with enthusiasm & autonomy when appropriate.
