Our autonomy stack, OverDrive, is defining the state-of-the-art for perception, planning, and control of uncrewed vehicles, enabling them to traverse and operate in any terrain, regardless of roads, in any condition. OverDrive was purpose-built for the warfighter. Through our work with DARPA and the U.S. Army, we are developing the intelligent capabilities necessary to power modern ground operations, now and for decades to come.
In a little over a year, the company has been selected for or awarded eight-figures of OTAs and other contracts across multiple services and DoD customers. We have raised over $10M in funding, led by a top multi-billion dollar AUM defense tech investor.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to develop system for field testing and contribute to our core autonomy system
In this role, you will:
- Test Robotics Systems in the Field: Deploy and evaluate robotic systems in real-world environments, ensuring they perform as expected under various conditions.
- Create and Maintain Testing Infrastructure: Design, build, and maintain the necessary testing infrastructure to support field evaluations, including setup of hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Contribute to the Autonomy Stack: Assist in the development and enhancement of interfaces and diagnostics for the core autonomy system, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within the robotics platform.
- Document and Analyze Performance: Collect data, analyze system performance, and document findings to contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of robotic systems.
Qualifications
- Strong technical background: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar. Familiarity with robotics software, networking, and sensors.
- Grit: You excel in a small-team atmosphere, taking ownership of problems and working with your colleagues to solve problems across disciplines.
- Field-test forward: You are passionate about building systems that work in the real world: despite rain, snow, and mud. Willing to spend significant time (2-3 months per year) in diverse field locations, adapting to new challenges and working conditions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
- Ability to relocate to Seattle, WA.
