The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable processing, and assisting with monthly close activities and audits. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, accuracy, and organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable processing, and assisting with monthly close activities and audits. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, accuracy, and organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries for review/approval.
- Reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts monthly.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. A/P: Monitor and help process vendor purchase orders, invoices and employee expense reports.
- A/R: Support collections, customer billing and posting payments, including revenue recognition tracking and DSO calculation
- Experience with ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks Advanced, BILL, Brex) to process transactions, generate reports and analytics.
- Ensure adherence and improvements to internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or government contracting industries or big 4’s in relevant sectors.
- ERP use and implementation experience preferable with SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA Certification a plus.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (preferably in a corporate or startup environment).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated self-starter who works well collaboratively and independently.
- $75,000 - $95,000, Salary may vary with experience
