At ORBCOMM, we’re looking for an Operations Supervisor who thrives in execution‑focused roles and enjoys keeping complex manufacturing and repair operations running smoothly. This role plays a critical part in supporting production execution, coordinating repair activities, and ensuring accurate operational tracking across multiple regions.

This role is based out of our Ottawa, Ontario office. We operate in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of three (3) days per week onsite at our Kanata office, with the option to work remotely for up to two (2) days per week.
What You’ll Do
Production & Work Order Management
- Create, release, and schedule production work orders in ERP/MRP systems
- Coordinate daily production activities with internal manufacturing teams
- Track work order progress and support on‑time production execution
- Monitor work‑in‑progress (WIP), capacity, and production priorities
RMA & Repair Operations
- Coordinate RMA and depot repair activities across Ottawa, the United States, and Brazil
- Track RMA units, monitor repair turnaround times, and escalate issues as needed
- Partner with internal teams and third‑party repair centers to ensure timely resolution
Operational Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain accurate operational records, metrics, and KPIs
- Support data tracking, reporting, and analysis using Excel and ERP tools
- Identify bottlenecks or execution risks and escalate appropriately
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Post‑secondary diploma or bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–4 years of experience managing and developing people, including direct responsibility for hiring, performance management, and day‑to‑day team leadership
- Experience supervising or coordinating operations in a manufacturing, electronics, or distribution environment supporting production or repair activities
- Hands‑on experience creating, releasing, and tracking work orders in an ERP/MRP system
- Working knowledge of production scheduling, WIP tracking, and capacity coordination
- Experience supporting RMA, depot repair, or reverse logistics processes
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting
- Knowledge of inventory management concepts and processes
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to support daily tasks and productivity.
- Commitment to continuous learning in digital and AI literacy.

The anticipated starting salary range for candidates expressing interest in this position is CAD $80,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as location, technical experience, skills, certifications, etc.
