We’re looking for an EOPS Manager who can bring financial rigor, clear storytelling, and sharp analysis to a fast-moving, agile environment, turning complex spend and investment decisions into measurable outcomes.

Why You’ll Love Working Here
In this role, you’ll be at the center of ORBCOMM’s CTO & CIO organization, partnering with leaders across Devices, Product Platforms, SaaS Applications, Cloud Infrastructure, Data, and Security. You’ll help prioritize and evaluate initiatives, build business cases, and model ROI and funding phasing. You’ll also bring transparency to cloud, connectivity, and vendor spend by developing unit-cost models, supporting optimization efforts, and protecting reliability and security.

This role is based out of our Hyderabad, India office. We operate in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of three (4) days per week onsite, with the option to work remotely for up to one (1) day per week.

What You’ll Do

  • IoT, Platform & SaaS Investment Support
    • Track approved investments against plan and support benefits realization tracking
    • Assist leadership with prioritization across product, platform, and enterprise initiatives
    • Respond to ad‑hoc analysis requests related to investments, risks, and trade‑offs
    • Support business cases for IoT device development, platform enhancements, and SaaS feature investments
    • Model ROI, payback, and funding phasing for AI, data, cybersecurity, and connectivity initiatives
  • Cloud, Vendor & Cost Optimization
    • Provide transparency into cloud infrastructure, SaaS tooling, connectivity services, and third‑party vendors
    • Develop unit cost models such as per device, per message, per API, and per customer
    • Support cost reduction initiatives while protecting platform reliability, scalability, and security posture
    • Partner with engineering, IT, and procurement teams on cloud optimization and vendor rationalization
  • Monthly Performance Management
    • Own monthly close support, variance analysis, and management reporting for technology cost centers
    • Analyze spend drivers across device engineering, SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise IT
    • Maintain KPIs including run vs. change spend, cloud unit costs, device cost per SKU, and platform cost per customer
    • Ensure financial accuracy across ERP, project accounting, and cloud cost management tools
  • Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Support annual operating plan (AOP), rolling forecast, and outlook for CTO & CIO portfolios including Devices, Platforms, SaaS, Cloud, IT, and Security
    • Manage opex vs. capex forecasting, including capitalized software, firmware, and device‑related development costs
    • Track headcount, contractors, cloud consumption, connectivity, and vendor spend across global teams
    • Prepare monthly financial review materials for CTO and CIO leadership
  • Controls, Governance & Collaboration
    • Ensure compliance with capitalization policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
    • Coordinate closely with Corporate FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, and Product Finance
    • Continuously improve EOPS processes, reporting automation, and data quality

Who You Are
You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace.

If you have:

  • 8+ years supporting Technology, Product, Engineering, or IT organizations; MBA preferred
  • Solid understanding of IoT and SaaS business models, cloud cost drivers, and capitalized software accounting
  • Expert-level Excel skills with the ability to build clear, decision-ready financial models
  • Power BI expertise to build dashboards and translate data into actionable insights
  • Proven experience in FP&A, corporate finance, and/or management accounting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and align technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfort operating in a global, matrixed environment and partnering across functions
  • Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline work and improve quality
  • Growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning in digital and AI literacy
