As a key member of our International Sales team, you will drive ORBCOMM’s growth and market presence in the Western region of United States by identifying new opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and implementing innovative solutions to expand our customer base. This role focuses on business expansion through both direct sales and indirect channels, contributing to the overall growth of ORBCOMM’s product lines in the region.

You will be collaborating with a talented global and local team, while also enjoying the autonomy and comfort of remote work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify and engage with new customers in the IoT, Industrial IoT, and Telematics markets.
  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunities through prospecting, networking, and attending industry events.
  • Expand and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
  • Upsell and cross-sell new products, services, and solutions.
  • Develop account strategies to drive multi-year revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute a business development plan for the region.
  • Map and prioritize target industries, partners, and customers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their IoT needs and aligning solutions to their strategic priorities.
  • Conduct executive-level presentations and solution demonstrations.
  • Work closely with the Sales Coordinator, Pre-Sales, Product, and Operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful onboarding.
  • Provide structured feedback on customer needs and market trends to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting through Salesforce (CRM).
  • Ensure regular reporting of activities, opportunities, and risks.

Who You Are:

You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of sales or business development experience in Industrial IoT, Satellite Communications, or Technology/Telematics sectors.
  • Proven hunter mentality with a strong track record of consistently exceeding new business targets.
  • Strong understanding of IoT technologies, connectivity solutions (cellular, satellite, LPWAN), and B2B sales cycles.
  • Proficient in sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, or SPIN Selling.
  • Advanced user of Salesforce CRM for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, proposal development, and negotiation skills.
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 40% across Western states of the United States.
