As the Country Sales Manager for Brazil, you will be responsible for leading and driving the execution of sales strategies to achieve business growth and profit generation. This role involves managing the local sales team, aligning operations with the company's five-year corporate strategy, and ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded. You will coach and mentor a high-performing sales team while collaborating with other business units to deliver best-in-class solutions and meet customer needs. You will also play a critical role in implementing new business strategies to drive sustainable growth and managing the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the business unit in Brazil.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Lead and execute sales strategies to achieve growth targets and enhance profitability in the Brazilian market.
- Collaborate with senior management to align the business with corporate strategy and implement necessary changes to exceed sales goals.
- Manage the overall P&L for the business unit in Brazil, ensuring optimal financial performance.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team in Brazil, fostering a culture of excellence in consultative selling.
- Lead and manage remote and on-site teams to achieve high levels of performance.
- Monitor individual performance through KPIs, ensuring each team member meets their targets and contributes to the overall success of the sales unit.
Customer & Market Development:
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers by understanding their needs and delivering engineered solutions.
- Lead customer acquisition efforts, ensuring consistent pipeline management, and expediting deal closure.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the local market and key industry segments, especially in IoT/M2M, transportation, and heavy equipment.
Sales Operations & Performance:
- Set and monitor sales goals, tracking progress and implementing improvements as needed to meet or exceed targets.
- Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce.com) to track and manage accounts, sales performance, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with other business units to drive cross-functional synergies and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in sales management in a B2B environment, ideally within the IoT/M2M, transportation, or engineering sectors.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, managing a P&L, and developing sales teams.
- Strong background in consultative selling and a deep understanding of engineered solutions.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with a track record of closing high-value deals.
- Experience managing remote teams and working cross-functionally within a large organization.
- Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English is a plus.
