A little bit about the role:

ORBCOMM is a leading global provider of industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication solutions that remotely track, monitor and control fixed and mobile assets. We are looking for a vibrant and self-motivated Senior Software Engineer that will support the Big Data Team and will be in Hyderabad.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the development efforts for various products / features which may involve multiple teams
• Should be eager to learn new technologies and implement them as required.
• Should contribute for Design and perform POC where needed and develop Data platform offering.
• Engineer and implement scalable analytics solutions on AWS

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Education qualification: B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in computers, IT or electronics from reputed collage.
• Should have 5 -8 years of work experience in software development including developing distributed systems using big data technologies.
• 5 - 8 years of experience developing Applications using Core Java. Good to have Scala experience along with Core Java.
• 3 years of experience of working Big Data technologies including Realtime data processing applications along with ETL jobs for batch
• Should have experience of working with AWS cloud services.
• Strong Experience of working with Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka.
• Should have good experience of working with microservices applications using Kafka Streams and Spark streaming.
• Should have experience of batch processing systems using Spark batch.
• Should have experience of deployment platform like Kubernetes.
• Experience in NoSQL and SQL Databases including Cassandra and MySQL
• Good to have experience of monitoring tool kit like Prometheus and Grafana
• Good to have experience of logging mechanism with EFK.
• Proficiency in DevOps Tools and CICD tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Chef, Puppet, Github)
• Should have good knowledge in general programming/Algorithm/Data Structure.
