A little bit about the role:

The Sales Operations Specialist will have the opportunity to improve the workflow of the sales opportunity, pipeline, projection, and order processes. This role acts as a liaison between company stakeholders including business development, revenue operations, and the order entry team. The ideal candidate has a passion for behavior change, process improvement, and administrative prowess in a fast-paced environment. This role will be based in Sterling, VA or Ottawa, CAN and will report to our VP & GM, Heavy Industries.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Sales Opportunity Audits:

  • Validate new customer setup in Salesforce including the validation of proper approval documentation, customer contracts and customer access portals.
  • Review pipeline for non-compliant opportunities.
  • Lead webinar training sessions as needed.
  • Review with the Revenue Operations all hardware forecasted from the pipeline
  • Provide sales pipeline analysis as needed.

Commission Support:

  • Provide support in the administration of the Sales Incentive Plans amongst the sales team in conjunction with the Sales and Revenue Operations leadership.
  • Create and collect the signed commission plans, run the commission calculations in conjunction with finance, and run the quarterly commission statements.
  • Maintain all final commission materials.
  • This role requires strict confidentiality due to the nature of the sales materials and data.

Subscription Contracts:

  • Create subscription contracts using data provided by the sales team member and verifying the data is the same in Salesforce along with any approvals on price outside the norm.
  • Submit the final created subscription agreement to requestor.
  • Coordinate with legal regarding any non-standard requirements for a subscription agreement.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree +3 years relevant experience OR 5 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to excel in deadline-driven environments.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and solve them independently with the internal stakeholder.
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
