F&I AUTOMATE SPECIALIST
POSITION SUMMARY
The F&I Automate Specialist combines advanced accounting expertise with functional and technical support for dealership systems and financial applications. This role focuses on financial accuracy, reporting, and compliance while supporting system users, troubleshooting issues, and improving workflows across accounting, F&I, and sales-related processes. The position serves as a subject matter expert and supports both financial operations and Tier 1 support functions in a centralized office environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and review monthly, quarter-end, and year-end journal entries.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze financial variances across balance sheet and P&L accounts and provide clear explanations.
- Support the monthly close process and ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
- Prepare accruals and analyze financial datasets to support accounting operations.
- Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal policies, and audit requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits and prepare financial reporting schedules.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to accounting workflows and system usage.
- Act as a subject matter expert on dealership accounting, F&I, and sales system processes.
- Provide functional and technical support for accounting, F&I, and sales-related applications.
- Troubleshoot system setup, configuration, and user issues across financial and operational modules.
- Manage and resolve support cases through CRM systems, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Escalate complex technical or system issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams.
- Support reporting needs by building or advising on financial reports and dashboards.
- Provide guidance on system best practices, regulatory compliance, and dealership workflows.
- Maintain product and industry knowledge across dealership accounting, F&I, and sales operations.
- Support flexible work hours during close cycles and peak operational periods.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience in dealership accounting, F&I, or automotive sales operations is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting financial systems, ERP platforms, or dealership management systems is required.
- Strong understanding of finance and lease calculations, taxes, and related accounting treatments.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot system and process issues effectively.
- Experience working in cross-functional and fast-paced environments.
- Detail oriented with strong judgment and decision-making ability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English.
