Step into a pivotal role at the nexus of cloud engineering and automated defense. This is not just a security role; it's an opportunity to architect the future of resilience across our multi-cloud ecosystem (GCP & AWS). We are seeking a modern Security Engineer to move beyond legacy defense by leveraging AI-driven tooling, behavioral analytics, and advanced automation to build intelligent security controls. You will be instrumental in deploying next-generation detection and response capabilities, ensuring our systems are not just compliant, but proactively secured at machine speed. Your work will directly empower our product teams, enabling rapid innovation.

Your Daily Impact as a Security Engineer - Cloud Platforms

  • Detection & Response: Own day-to-day triage of security alerts. Continuously refine playbooks and detection logic, focusing on engineering fixes to eliminate noise and recurring issues. Serve as the subject matter expert and escalation point for security incidents.
  • Engineering Liaison: Serve as the primary technical liaison between InfoSec and engineering teams for all cloud security issues, ensuring controls align with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Operational Reporting: Provide weekly reports on the status of security in the cloud environments, as well as operational metrics like alert counts, escalations, and mean time to respond (MTTR) to engineering fixes.

Your Experience and Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering, information security operations, or related IT operations.
  • Substantial experience in AWS, GCP, or both, with a focus on native security services, configuration, and best practices.
  • Strong experience in Linux administration.
  • Strong scripting experience. (Python preferred)
  • Substantial experience in platform security, threat hunting, or offensive security.
  • Good networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with maintaining audit readiness documentation and evidence repositories (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).

Nice-to-Haves

  • BS in computer science / cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/IaC) and configuration management.
  • Kubernetes / Container security experience.
