Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join our agile Apps Engineering team and help shape the future of scalable, real-time geospatial products. In this role, you’ll contribute to a platform that processes petabytes of aerial imagery, powers advanced AI models, and delivers cutting-edge visual data to customers around the world.
This is a unique opportunity to work on highly visible, user-facing features across a system that blends high-resolution 2D and 3D imagery, interactive maps, and responsive web applications. You’ll design and develop complex front-end solutions in a modern tech stack, including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, and WebGL libraries such as OpenLayers or Cesium. Our environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and constantly evolving—offering chances to switch teams and projects as the business grows.
You’ll be instrumental in defining clean architecture, contributing to our design system, improving test coverage, and shaping development practices. Your work will directly impact the usability and reliability of applications that help industries make mission-critical decisions with confidence.
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll drive the adoption of best engineering practices in testing, maintainability, and continuous delivery, while collaborating closely with product managers, backend engineers, and other cross-functional partners. You’ll have the freedom to lead by example, bring innovative ideas to life, and take ownership of technical outcomes in a company that values initiative, quality, and user impact.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and modern frontend tooling.
- Strong understanding of API integration, UI performance optimisation, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with component libraries, design systems, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines for web apps.
- Exposure to Next.js, Node.js, or similar backend frameworks is a plus.
