Job Description
This role is a 9 month Parental Leave cover.
The Director of Digital Marketing will drive the strategic vision and execution of digital marketing initiatives across the global organisation (NA & ANZ). This leader will work with senior management to establish and implement strategies that drive customer identification, acquisition, retention, and engagement using a data-driven approach. The role is focused on leveraging digital media and web marketing expertise to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experiences through targeted, personalised communications.
This individual is responsible for leading a team of website and digital marketing professionals. This position is responsible for leading a global team of digital marketers to achieve measurable outcomes and ensure alignment with business strategies. It requires an in-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels, tools, and platforms, and the skill to lead the implementation of a long-term data and analytics capability. The Senior Director of Digital Marketing is a senior leader in the business who interacts with Executive Leadership and builds important working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Strategic Leadership
- Establish the end-to-end digital marketing strategy and capabilities that align with the needs and goals of the businesses both globally and regionally.
- Collaborate with senior management and departments to develop and execute the overall digital marketing strategy.
- Ensure alignment with organisational policies and goals, and lead efforts to establish best practices for marketing automation and digital channels.
- Drive the establishment and use of evaluation criteria for digital marketing initiatives.
Global Digital Strategy and Execution
- Establish clear objectives and strategies to guide digital planning and implementation in connection with industry and vertical priorities.
- Lead the execution of global digital marketing initiatives that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Own the development and maintenance of the Nearmap web assets and ensure the web environment meets global and regional business needs.
- Own the web strategy that supports an enterprise sales organisation and a online transaction-led business.
- Oversee the Digital Growth Managers in the development of marketing campaigns and nurture programs to support regional GTM objectives.
- Source and work with digital agencies to ensure objectives and strategies are clearly communicated and aligned.
Budgeting and Performance
- Oversee and manage the global digital marketing budget, allocating spend strategically to optimise performance across regions and channels.
- Report regularly on digital channel and campaign outcomes with attention to the relevance and effectiveness of spend.
- Innovate and test web strategies to communicate effectively and optimise conversion.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a global team of digital marketing experts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Build out capabilities and talent within the team to support the company’s growth objectives and ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in digital media, demand generation, web management and marketing, with a proven track record of driving global campaigns.
- Experience leading global teams and managing a range of digital marketing channels, including website, search, social and display.
- Knowledge of CRM integration, A/B testing, and persona-based journeys. Understanding of marketing automation platforms, specifically Marketo, needed.
- Strong understanding of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and proficiency in managing digital channels and reporting on campaign performance.
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce CRM, with experience using BI tools for reporting.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms such as Storyblok, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.
- Knowledge of ANZ and NA markets is a bonus
