Job Summary:
The Corporate Development & Strategy team at Voyager Technologies plays a critical role in shaping the future of one of the most dynamic companies in defense, national security, and space technology. We work across functions and business units to identify opportunities for internal improvement, operational scale, and strategic clarity so that Voyager can continue to grow fast without breaking things that matter.
As part of the Corporate Development & Strategy, Special Projects role, you’ll work on high-impact assignments that accelerate execution and strengthen Voyager’s internal foundation. From operational diagnostics to enterprise-wide transformation efforts, you’ll partner with senior leaders to tackle the company’s most complex internal challenges with structure, urgency, and a bias for action.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in private equity portfolio operations, management consulting, corporate strategy, or business operations with experience in sectors like Aerospace & Defense, Industrials, Energy, or Industrial Technology.
Responsibilities:
- Lead structured diagnostic efforts across Voyager’s internal operations to uncover root causes of inefficiencies, misalignment, or underperformance. Translate observations into actionable, prioritized problem statements and take full ownership of designing and executing the solutions.
- Design and drive execution of high-impact operational initiatives across core functions (Product, Engineering, People, Finance, and Go-To-Market).
- Develop crisp, data-backed narratives in both slide and memo form that distill complex operational insights into decision-ready recommendations for C-level executives and board-facing teams.
- Serve as a hands-on partner to executives and business unit leaders, helping translate strategy into action while building systems that scale with the company.
- Support leadership in carrying out investment activities including acquisitions, and commercial partnerships. This might include supporting due diligence, negotiation and integration activities as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 4–7 years of experience in private equity portfolio operations, management consulting, corporate transformation, or internal strategy roles ideally with direct exposure to implementation and execution, not just analysis.
- You are intrinsically motivated and relentlessly proactive. We do not wait for colleagues that can’t keep up and have a strong bias for action. We would rather tell you to slow down than speed up.
- Experience working across functional areas (e.g., Product, Engineering, People, Finance) and leading initiatives that require influence without authority.
- You have a proven ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
- You are comfortable communicating broadly across the organization and having lots of eyes on your work product. This role can at times require comms to large groups and senior leadership, but this is something that excites you and motivates you to do your best work.
- You must be able to manage extremely confidential projects with very sensitive information and always exhibit excellent judgement.
- You must have the ability to travel 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Located or willingness to relocate to the Los Angeles, CA or Denver, CO metro areas.
- Experience working in Defense Technology or at the intersection of hardware & software.
