Job Summary:

We’re hiring a Director of Strategy and Partnerships to develop and manage strategic relationships with defense and space contractors, guiding them from initial outreach to deep, trusted partnerships that reliably deliver mission-critical solutions. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will build and lead high-impact collaborations from strategy through execution, identifying growth opportunities and aligning partnerships with company goals. You will own partner relationships, develop actionable partner plans, manage portfolios, drive mutual outcomes, and report results to leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement overarching partnership strategies, analyze industry trends, identify target partners, and create actionable plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Partnership Development: Proactively research, prospect, and recruit new partners to expand the network.
  • Proposal Development: Support proposal development and technical discussions as relationships progress toward contracting
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing partners, ensuring engagement, communication, and satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide insights into industry shifts, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.
  • Execution: Market Intelligence: Provide insights on industry shifts, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, leadership) to integrate partnerships and ensure alignment with company vision.
  • Performance & Reporting: Monitor partnership performance, track KPIs, and provide regular reports to leadership and the board on impact and ROI.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance (requires US citizenship)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years in business development, account management, or partnership development
  • Demonstrated expertise in the defense, national security, and/or space contracting landscape, with deep familiarity across prime contractors, subcontracting structures, and end-to-end program lifecycles.
  • Proven track record building and nurturing strategic relationships that resulted in significant business growth
  • Proven ability to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and communicate clearly.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, strong financial analysis capabilities, and a results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to travel 25-50%

The salary range represents the base salary range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors. Those include but are not limited to location, experience, and performance.
