Job Summary:
The IT Operations Director leads all on-site and business-aligned IT services. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure reliability, end-user support, and coordination with enterprise IT teams. The role ensures technology effectively supports manufacturing, supply chain, finance, HR, and project operations while meeting security, compliance, and audit requirements.
Responsibilities:
IT Operations & Support
- Lead local IT support, including desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, conferencing systems, and user setup.
- Oversee system administration, hardware refreshes, break-fix, and escalated support issues.
- Ensure reliable IT services and rapid issue resolution.
Infrastructure Management
- Manage on-prem and cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, identity services, email, and endpoints.
- Support LAN/WAN, wireless, security controls, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Coordinate with enterprise infrastructure teams as needed.
Applications & Systems
- Support business applications and ERP platforms.
- Partner with enterprise application teams to meet site needs.
Leadership & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary IT liaison to business leadership.
- Translate business priorities into IT plans and execution.
- Lead, coach, and manage IT staff; oversee hiring, performance, and development.
Project, Vendor & Budget Management
- Lead site-specific IT projects from planning through delivery.
- Manage IT vendors, contracts, and local IT budgets.
- Approve invoices related to telecom, software, hardware, and services.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices.
- Support internal and external audits and compliance reviews.
- Identify gaps and lead process improvements.
Service Management
- Track service levels and performance metrics.
- Communicate IT status, risks, and improvements to management.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 15+ years of IT experience, including 7–10 years in leadership or management roles.
Technical Knowledge
- IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, cloud platforms).
- Microsoft ecosystem and enterprise IT tools.
- ERP systems and IT service management practices.
- Cybersecurity and compliance fundamentals.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and priorities.
- Business-focused mindset with strong customer orientation.
Additional Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
- Ability to work evenings or weekends as required.
- Occasional travel to Voyager sites.
