Job Summary:
The IT Support Technician provides onsite hands-on, mission-critical IT support in a fast-paced aerospace and space operations environment. This role supports engineers, manufacturing teams, and corporate staff by delivering reliable end-user computing, secure access to systems, and responsive technical support across office, lab, and operational facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1–3 onsite and remote IT support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
- Support engineering and productivity applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, CAD/engineering software)
- Provision, image, configure, deploy, and maintain end-user computing devices
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets including inventory, deployment, repair, replacement, and recovery
- Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, device connectivity)
- Support conference room, A/V, printing, and specialized endpoint technologies
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support procedures
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to resolve complex issues
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within IT Operations
- Experience rolling out Okta and Microsoft Entra ID as Identity Providers, including MFA configuration with Microsoft Authenticator, SSO integrations, and conditional access policy enforcement.
Required Qualifications:
- 2–4+ years of professional desktop or IT services support experience in an enterprise environment
- Strong working knowledge of Windows OS; experience with macOS and/or Linux preferred
- Experience supporting Microsoft technologies (Active Directory/Azure AD, Microsoft 365)
- Familiarity with device management and endpoint tools (e.g., Intune, JAMF, SCCM, or similar)
- Solid customer service skills with the ability to support high-visibility, mission-critical users
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or high-reliability engineering environments
- Exposure to secure or regulated systems and environments
- Technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar)
- Experience supporting 24x7 operations, shift work, or on-call rotations
