The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Development Architect with expertise in Cellular 3GPP standards, EPC architecture, and 5GC technologies to design and implement cloud-based network systems. To be successful in this role, you will ideally be based in Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop virtualized ground network software in collaboration with network architects.
• Implement and maintain ground network software solutions in our cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and integrate APIs for software management and automation.
• Optimize protocols and interfaces for efficiency.
• Conduct testing, validation, and debugging for performance, scalability, and security.
• Create and maintain documentation for software management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ground network software issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver software systems.
• Design and develop software-defined solutions for ground network systems.
• Conduct performance testing and stay updated on industry trends.

What we’ll like about you:

• Previous experience in ground network software development and design.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or Java for software development.
• In-depth knowledge of SDN concepts and technologies.
• Expertise in NFV and open source network implementations.
• Strong understanding of radio systems, network protocols, wireless communication, and security.
• Familiarity with software development tools: Git, Jenkins, JIRA.
• Knowledge of software-defined networking and radio technologies, cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), serverless computing and pub-sub architectures, contributions to relevant open-source projects, and knowledge of network orchestration and automation is desirable but not essential
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
