Job Summary
The Material Planning Manager leads a team that coordinates closely with programs, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, inventory, shipping and receiving to ensure we have the supply to manufacture the right quantity and configurations of products to meet program demand. We are looking for a detail-oriented problem-solver that can manage high-mix programs, implement novel processes and solutions to help scale our business, and clearly communicate potential risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and senior leaders. Our goal is to become a leader in materials management with a focus on excellent customer service, super-fast response times, and high inventory accuracy. This role will be responsible for leading both the day-to-day material planning, while also driving the necessary strategic projects and process improvements to take the organization to the next level and respond to the evolving needs of the business.

This position's internal job code is Product Support Supply Chain Manager. Our team is currently hiring for a Level K.

Responsibilities

• Lead material planners, demand planner and production coordinators to firmly establish supply chain, production planning and execution at Millennium Space Systems
• Manage all direct reports with thoughtful and encouraging leadership
• Commit to creating a workplace that supports diversity and inclusion
• Mentor team members to provide the best opportunity for each induvial to succeed leading to overall success of the team
• Coach team members on achieving goals and developing necessary skills that get results by developing team members’ performance, offering feedback, and demonstrating desired skills
• Encourage job growth by helping team members expand into areas that they may be unfamiliar with
• Communicate with VPs, Directors, and Program Managers proactively on status, critical path, and supply issues or other areas of concern on a regular basis

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of Management in Supply Chain
• 3 years of experience working in Supply Chain

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of managing a material planning organization
• 5+ years with BS/BA, or 3+ years with MS/MA or MBA, or 10+ years of direct experience in Supply Chain
• Direct experience and working knowledge of planning systems, MRP and MES
• Experience working in aerospace, pharmaceuticals, or auto manufacturing industry If you do not meet all requirements but have some you are encouraged to apply

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay-Range

• Level K: $119,000 - $175,000
