Job Description:

  • Develop Unit, Regression, End-to-End, Renode Emulation, LLVM Pass tests to validate HLS and SoC designing IDEs
  • Develop/port HLS designs in C/C++ to test existing and new features
  • Develop automated tests to verify compiler transformations and RTL functionality
  • Create and maintain testing environments
  • Perform media and sign-off testings before releases
  • Write verification specifications, verification plans, and documentation
  • Closely collaborate with Software and SQA teams

Secondary Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform user experience testing and provide suggestions for improvements
  • Help with the enforcement of Microchip’s Software Development Processes.
  • Continue learning latest EDA discoveries and contribute to the team discussions.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years relevant research or work experience in compiler architectures, high level synthesis or other relevant fields.
  • Experience with C++ and TypeScript languages.
  • Experience with Python and TCL scripting languages.
  • Proficient in testing concepts, processes, and environments, including the ability to write tests and work in testing environments.
  • Proficient in Linux environment, including working in the bash environment and writing scripts using pipe, redirect, command substitution, etc.
  • Familiarity/knowledge/experience with Pytest and PlayWright.
  • Familiarity/knowledge/experience with LLVM Compilers.
  • Familiarity/knowledge/experience with RTL languages.
  • Understanding of digital design basics and Boolean algebra.
  • Good English communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with source code management systems (Git, SVN).
  • Familiarity/knowledge of RISC-V architecture
  • Familiarity/knowledge/experience with FPGAs would be a plus.
