Job Description:

  • Develop solutions for FPGA programming software tool.
  • Work with SQA team to debug issues and provide solutions.
  • Work with UI/UX designer to improve the user interface of the tool.
  • Improve tools' run time.
  • Participate in R&D exploration activities.

Secondary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide input to documentation team.
  • Perform design reviews, unit testing, and code reviews.
  • Continue learning latest EDA discoveries and contribute to the team discussions.
  • Help with the enforcement of Microchip’s Software Development Processes.


  • Knowledge of C++, as well as understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Experience in developing C++ based applications.
  • Experience with shell scripting languages (Bash, Python, TCL)
  • Knowledge or practical experience in QT.
  • Good English communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with source code management systems (ClearCase, Git, SVN).
  • Familiarity/knowledge/experience with FPGAs would be a plus.
