Job Description:
Does working on state-of-the art atomic clocks sound interesting to you? Do you like to be challenged? If so, this position for an Electrical Engineering Intern may be for you! The Microchip Technology location in Beverly, MA designs and manufactures Cesium and Rubidium atomic clocks for precise time markets. Successful candidates will display an aptitude for problem-solving, a desire to learn, and demonstrate the ability to design and implement solutions independently and within a group.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Learn how to test, collect, and analyze time and frequency data from atomic clocks
- Documentation of work in Atlassian tools and lifecycle management software • Lab upkeep and organization
- Utilize software and hardware to troubleshoot units.
- Troubleshoot complex circuits to find root cause of failures.
- Recommend paths for repair of failed units.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Looking to study Electrical Engineering in college • Basic understanding of Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal circuits
- Ability to read and create electric schematics, understanding of types and purpose of electronic components Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment.
- Some familiarity with physics or the ability to understand how atomic clocks work.
- Comply with all safety / ESD requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently on troubleshooting with limited supervision.
