Who we are

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision technology to enable frictionless, checkout-free experiences in the real world. Today, we are reimagining parking to enable millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out." We envision a future where people transact in the real world with a speed, ease and convenience that is unparalleled, even online. Tomorrow, we will power checkout-free experiences anywhere you go to make the everyday experiences of living, working and playing remarkable - giving us back our most valuable asset, time.

Who you are

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Director of Treasury to build and lead a modern, AI-enabled global treasury function that safeguards liquidity, optimizes capital, and enables disciplined scaling of the business. This role moves Treasury from a transactional utility to a strategic control point for capital velocity, risk management, and operational leverage. You will own enterprise liquidity, banking strategy, debt and lease oversight, treasury technology, and financial risk management, while partnering deeply with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Operations. This is a hands-on leadership role: equal parts operator, architect, and strategic advisor to the CFO.

What you'll do

  • Own daily global cash positioning, short-term liquidity management, and high-confidence cash forecasting across all entities, continuously improving accuracy and cycle time
  • Optimize use of cash, revolver, short-term investments, and short-term investment portfolios to minimize interest expense and idle balances within the company’s risk appetite and liquidity requirements
  • Rationalize and manage global banking and merchant processing relationships, reducing complexity, fees, and operational risk
  • Lead the design and implementation of the Treasury Management System (TMS), fully integrated with ERP and payment workflows
  • Re-architect global bank account structures to enable automation, scalability, faster reconciliation, and improved cash-to-book processes
  • Partner with AP, AR, and Accounting to drive cash-to-book automation, cash reconciliation, and debt accounting
  • Ensure secure execution of all payments and transfers, with robust fraud prevention controls, treasury policies, approval frameworks, access governance, and strong auditability and SOX alignment
  • Oversee debt, letters of credit, finance leases, and covenant compliance, including quarterly reporting to the CFO and Board
  • Lead interest rate, FX, and counterparty risk management, including hedge evaluation and execution
  • Act as a strategic partner to FP&A (liquidity planning, capital allocation), Tax & Legal (entity structure, banking, covenants), and Operations & Product (merchant processing, new verticals)

What we're looking for

  • 12+ years in Corporate Treasury or Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing treasury operations or capital structures
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Demonstrated experience leading a TMS implementation (Kyriba, GTreasury, etc.) and transforming manual treasury operations
  • Deep understanding of global financial markets, capital structures, debt covenant compliance, liquidity modeling, and merchant processing economics
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal audit processes, and the accounting treatment of debt, hedges, and financing leases

While not required, these are a plus:

  • MBA, CPA, or CTP are highly preferred
