We’re on the search for a Accounts Payable Clerk on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.
Role:
Processing of pre-approved supplier invoices in an ERP system, including 3-way match. Sorting, distribution and mailing of cheques or wire payments.
Tasks:
- Monitor account payable payments and ensure compliance to company policies and procedures.
- Process/Enter pre-approved invoices in the accounting system (LN) for payment by ensuring three way matching between purchase order, receipt data and invoice.
- Work with purchasing and contracts to resolve any PO issues
- Research and respond to requests from MDA's suppliers and services regarding outstanding payments.
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling statements
- Processing the pre-approved Travel Expense Claim information into the Infor LN accounts payable system.
- Central person for HR supplier payments and inter-co payments
- Collaborate with accounting colleagues at the end of the accounting to ensure invoicing in monetary amounts that have not been recorded in the accounts payable system are journalized by accounting team..
- Provides invoices to be paid within a given framework of prescribed due dates
- Mailing and distribution of cheques or preparation of wire templates for payments
- Backup to Montreal accounts payable
- Support audits by providing backup for audit testing
- Other related duties and support
- Develop or assist in the development and implementation of an automated system of ledgers, records and reports in accordance with the Company's accounting policies and principles, or as required by applicable law.
- Liaison with IT on generation of reports and help maintain status of on-going reports required to assist in preforming month end tasks or improvements to existing ones.
- Support Internal & external audits.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-4 years Accounts Payable experience, in a manufacturing environment
- Good organizing abilities and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of an ERP system, Baan or Infor LN an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team and interact effectively with others, including suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DEC or equivalent AP experience environment B
- Fluent in French and English (verbal and written) (Frequent communication with head office CFO (Ontario).
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience relevant to the position.
