DETAILS:

We’re on the hunt for two motivated and talented Engineering Students in our Safety & Mission Assurance department at our Brampton office. This is a 12-16 month placement, starting in January 2026.

Overall the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

Responsibilities:

The intern will assist the Safety & Mission Assurance Department and Brampton Operations group with a variety of tasks, which may include:

  • Supporting the Gateway Safety team in evaluating the risks and effects of failures, through FMEAs and generating hazard/cause records.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and other stakeholders on effectively collecting data and information to support corrective actions and provide report for closure.
  • Programming/creating metric dashboards.
  • Supporting program engineering work and other engineering staff as required.

Candidates will be required to interface with many different disciplines, including all levels of management.

Experience and skills required:

Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline such as Aerospace, Systems Design, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with at least three (3) years completed. Candidates must be willing to work on a variety of tasks, be self-driven, and have a strong ability to work both independently, and as a member of a team.

Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills are essential to this position.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is $24 - $27 hourly. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
