Our Sat Connect IC business unit, a division of our Satellite Systems business is a leading provider of ASICs, software, multibeam electronically steered antennas, and complete systems for communication satellites, as well as ground and airborne terminals. Role:
Job description - Physical Layer FW Engineer
- Develop Physical Layer firmware for satellite communication systems
- Participate in the development of low level drivers, BSP in Bare metal or RTOS environment
- Collaborate with HW team and participate in the early HW development and verification
- Design of firmware architecture, from top-level down to block-level
- Define and write high-level design documents for embedded MCUs/DSPs
- Optimize and debug firmware for performance and throughput
- Development in C, Assembly and core specific instructions
Requirements:
- Sc in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in low-level real-time/embedded programming and firmware architectures
- Embedded software development experience with C/C++
- Basic digital signal processing knowledge
- Experience with reading HW specifications and developing low level drivers
- Knowledge of wireless communications standards an advantage
- Self-learning capabilities, adapt to changes and study new technical fields
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
- Experience in lab work and testing equipment (JTAG, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Matlab and Python - Advantage
