Maxar is seeking a Software Engineer to join a team focused on the development and enhancement of software with a corresponding Application Program Interface (API) and Software Development Kit (SDK), capable of being integrated into existing Electronic Light Tables (ELTs) such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and QT Modeler.

Our customer requires more robust tools for viewshed (i.e., the geographical area visible from a location), and point to point line-of-sight analyses over large scales, from multiple viewing angles, that incorporate multiple high-resolution data types. You’ll be a key member of a small, geographically dispersed team, working to advance capabilities for users throughout the US Government.

Required Qualifications:

• US citizen, residing in the United States
• Willingness to undergo HSPD-12 background check process
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology fields
• Expert in C++ programming language
• 10+ years of experience in the technology field
• Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)
• Experience in algorithm development
• Experience working with GPUs
• Experience with CUDA
• Familiarity with concepts such as: terrain analysis, point clouds, and 3D data

Desired Qualifications:

• TS/SCI security clearance

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$137,000.00 - $229,000.00 annually.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
