The Role
You’ll be the technical bridge to enterprise insurance customers, owning the journey from initial technical discovery through full-scale integration. As our first forward deployed engineer, you’ll work directly with underwriters, executives, and IT teams at top-tier carriers to implement AI solutions that transform how trillion-dollar portfolios assess wildfire, earthquake, and hurricane risks. Your work will directly shape customer adoption, product direction, and the resilience of businesses and communities worldwide.
What You’ll Do
Lead technical discovery: shadow underwriters, map workflows, and identify integration opportunities.
Architect and implement custom integrations, APIs, and automations that connect customer systems to ResiQuant’s platform.
Travel weekly to customer sites across the U.S. to run workshops, lead deployments, and ensure adoption.
Train and onboard underwriters, ensuring teams successfully integrate the platform into daily workflows.
Serve as the voice of the customer — translating real-world needs into product priorities and roadmap direction.
Build AI-powered internal tools that streamline implementations and scale customer delivery.
Partner directly with founders to shape strategy and ensure customer success.
Who You Are
3–5 years of software engineering experience with strong foundations in APIs, integrations, and full-stack development.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical background.
Exceptional communication and customer empathy — able to explain complex systems to both executives and technical teams.
Analytical problem-solver who can abstract business processes into technical specifications.
Comfortable traveling extensively and working on-site with customers.
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment.
Nice to Have
Prior experience in enterprise deployments, technical consulting, or customer-facing engineering.
Familiarity with insurance workflows or financial risk systems.
Experience building internal automation or AI-powered productivity tools.
