Founding Product Designer
Matter Intelligence
About Us:
Start date: Immediate
ResiQuant is revolutionizing how the world understands the built environment exposed to natural disasters. From earthquakes to wildfires and hurricanes, the impact of climate change and urbanization is intensifying—and yet, decision-makers are forced to rely on fragmented, static, and often inaccurate property data.
That changes with ResiQuant. We are building the world's first agentic AI that fuses structural engineering with advanced computer vision to transform the world's NatCat-exposed industries, starting with the $200B property insurance industry. Our platform automates submission processing and enriches data, enabling insurers to elevate underwriting precision and productivity.
Trusted by leading US property insurers, ResiQuant serves as the definitive source of property intelligence—ensuring that portfolios dynamically reflect evolving building codes, ordinances, and local construction practices, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
Fueled by an unrelenting focus on protecting lives, property, and livelihoods, ResiQuant is building the future of property risk intelligence at a time when it has never been more crucial.
About You:
You're a designer obsessed with the details—not for the sake of polish alone, but because you understand that every interaction, every piece of friction, every micro-moment adds up to trust. You believe that the right design can change how an entire industry thinks, operates, and makes decisions.
At ResiQuant, that's the opportunity in front of you.
We're building the AI that will reshape how the world understands physical risk—starting with our growing base of top-tier insurance carriers. These are not casual users. They're executives, underwriters, and catastrophe modeling teams making high-stakes decisions about coverage, pricing, and exposure across trillions of dollars in assets. They're moving fast. They need clarity. And they will judge the quality of our insights by the quality of the interface.
As our first and founding product designer, you'll be responsible for how this all feels—from the information architecture that guides a new underwriter, to the animations that bring a portfolio risk shift to life. You'll take technically complex data and render it simple, elegant, and actionable. You'll create AI-driven workflows that feel obvious and intuitive—because you've sweat the edge cases, asked the hard questions, and rebuilt it until it was right.
This isn't a role for someone looking to maintain or refine—it's for someone who wants to define: the design system, the product sensibility, and the visual identity of a category-defining AI platform. You'll own the surface area of the company—from product to brand to web—and build the design standards others will follow.
This is design not as decoration, but as direction.
