We’re building a high-performing sales team to meet strong market demand, and we’re looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to fuel our growth.

The Role

As a BDR at Magenta, you’ll be on the front lines of our sales efforts—identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects that could benefit from our AI-powered solutions. You’ll work closely with Account Executives and marketing to build a strong pipeline, craft compelling outreach, and set high-value meetings with senior leaders in manufacturing, energy, and industrial sectors.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their sales career who wants to break into enterprise AI, learn from experienced sales leaders, and grow into a closing role.

What You’ll Do

  • Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers.

  • Run outbound prospecting campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn, events).

  • Qualify inbound leads and move them through the sales funnel.

  • Partner with Account Executives to schedule discovery calls and demos.

  • Collaborate with marketing on messaging, campaigns, and events.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly pipeline and meeting targets.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role (SaaS or manufacturing/industrial experience a plus).

  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.

  • Curiosity to understand complex problems and how AI can solve them.

  • Resilience and persistence—you don’t get discouraged easily.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple prospects simultaneously.

  • Ambitious and motivated to grow into an Account Executive role.

  • Willingness to work hybrid from El Segundo, CA (collaboration days with flexibility).
