Joining the Redwire Space team means joining a motivated team of experts who are developing and fielding end-to-end innovative mission critical space system solutions for next generation space architecture. In this role, you won't be building actual rockets but be an integral part of our financial process that helps get our rockets into space!
We are growing at a rapid pace and therefore strengthening our supporting services. As we roll out a new way of working within our finance team, we are looking for a motivated AP accountant who has had a first experience and is looking to shape his/her future. What will you be doing?
As an AP Accountant, you will be responsible for the entire invoicing and payment process. Your responsibilities include:
- Receiving, verifying, and processing incoming invoices (three-way matching with purchase orders and deliveries)
- Preparing payment runs (checks, transfers, e-payments) within the agreed deadlines
- Reconciling AP accounts with supplier statements and the general ledger
- Monitoring progress through aging reports and following up on outstanding payment
- Managing supplier relationships: answering questions, resolving discrepancies, and following up on communications
- Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings: preparing accruals, reporting, and supporting audits
- Contributing to process optimization: proposing improvements to workflows, automation, and internal controls
- Participating in our change process, where we are transitioning from an ERP system and focusing on providing data-driven support
Does this sound like you?
We are looking for a candidate with:
- At least 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in AP or a general accounting role
- A graduate degree (or higher) in taxation/accountancy as a basic qualification
- Accounting knowledge and solid understanding of financial processes
Furthermore, your skillset / strenghts can be described as :
- Administratively strong and highly organized: your work is spotless, your documents are in perfect order
- Analytical and detail-oriented: you spot errors and proactively intervene and upgrade
- Stress-resistant and organizational: meeting deadlines, easily combining multiple tasks
- Digitally savvy. You have ERP and software skills and are familiar with systems such as D365 or similar, and Excel/macros. You have a digital mindset that you would love to apply in our transition process
- Communicative and customer-focused: you maintain smooth contact with suppliers and colleagues
- Integrity & discretion: you work carefully with confidential financial data
