Device QA Leader – Dash Cam Firmware

At Lytx we believe in working together to create high value, quality products. In your role as manager of Test Engineering you will play a critical part of the success for our technology team. Managing balance of high efficiencies and through put without sacrificing quality.

You'll Get To:

• Lead and mentor a team of firmware test engineers, supporting their growth, workload balance, and career development.
• Own manual and automated firmware test strategies for dash cam devices — from feature validation to regression and release readiness.
• Take full ownership of the device lab: hardware inventory, device lifecycle, and lab environment reliability.
• Partner with firmware engineers and QA leads to align test coverage with product and release priorities.

• Provide metrics on test coverage completeness.
• Work with other managers/leads in the Quality organization for internal process improvements.

What You'll Need:

• Minimum 3 years experience in leading QA or test engineering teams, with hands-on background in embedded systems, firmware, or hardware products — dash cam, IoT, or edge AI experience is a strong plus.
• Strong command of both manual device testing and test automation frameworks, paired with real comfort managing a device lab and physical hardware inventory.
• Proven ability to work shoulder-to-shoulder with firmware engineers — shaping testability upstream through design reviews, early feedback, and shift-left practices, not just validating at the end.
• Experience in a global technology organization, with the ability to coordinate quality efforts across time zones and align with distributed engineering teams.
• Clear communicator and collaborative leader — able to engage across engineering, product, and management levels while staying organized and effective in a fast-moving, priority-shifting environment
