In this role, you will lead AI/ML-driven product areas at Lytx—bridging applied research, machine learning engineering, and customer-facing product outcomes. You will be responsible for discovering high-value ML opportunities, productizing research and models into scalable solutions, and evolving Lytx’s AI capabilities toward more autonomous and agentic systems with appropriate guardrails.

You’ll Get To

• Analyse customer safety workflows, operational pain points, and industry trends to identify high-impact opportunities where ML and AI can drive differentiated customer value.

• Drive value discovery and productization of ML research, translating model capabilities, experiments, and prototypes into customer-ready product features.

• Partner closely with Applied ML, Engineering, Design, and Data teams to define end-to-end AI product strategy and roadmap for your assigned domain.

• Propose and define new AI/ML-powered capabilities, including risk detection, scoring, automation, and decision-support workflows that deliver measurable safety and operational outcomes.

• Develop business cases and product requirements for AI/ML initiatives, including problem definition, success metrics, “how we win,” tradeoffs, rollout strategy, and adoption considerations.

• Own the product lifecycle of ML systems, including problem framing, human-in-the-loop design, model evaluation criteria, deployment strategy, monitoring, and iteration.

• Guide the evolution of AI capabilities from assisted intelligence toward more agentic workflows, ensuring appropriate controls, transparency, and human oversight.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Client Services, Sales, Legal, and Product Marketing to ensure AI features are explainable, trustworthy, compliant, and clearly positioned.

• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on AI-driven solutions in the market, incorporating customer feedback and real-world performance data.

What You’ll Need

• Technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; an MBA is a plus.

• 5 to 8 years of Product Management experience, with significant ownership of AI/ML-driven or data-intensive products.

• Strong understanding of applied machine learning concepts, including model lifecycle, evaluation tradeoffs, human-in-the-loop systems, and production ML considerations.

• Proven experience working closely with ML engineers and data scientists to ship models into real-world products.

• Demonstrated ability to drive alignment across Product, Engineering, ML, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Experience operating in ambiguous, rapidly evolving problem spaces where both the technology and solution are still emerging.

• Strong customer orientation, with the ability to balance innovation, accuracy, trust, and usability in AI-powered products.

• Knowledge of lean and agile product development methodologies.

• Ability to work effectively in a decentralized, global organization across time zones.

• Takes ownership of outcomes, stepping into leadership when accountability is unclear, while constructively supporting others’ leadership when direction is established.

• Comfortable and confident with written communication, including narrative-style product briefs that clearly articulate AI-driven problems, solutions, tradeoffs, and execution plans.
