Join a fast-growing company and passionate team working on cutting edge technologies in the Industrial IoT space. As Senior Sales Engineer you will partner with the Sales, Client Experience and Product teams to help deliver exceptional sales a solution experiences for our customers.

A senior sales engineer adds value through solution value story management, revenue engine support, and business management. Through solution value story management, you will perform deep discovery, connect value to pain points and objectives as well as assemble compelling value stories and demonstrations. In revenue engine support you help to enhance opportunities as well as assist marketing. For business management, you will provide thought leadership and operational support as well as plan and maintain expertise, competitive intelligence and build your internal network. Additionally, as a Senior Sales Engineer, you will provide thought leadership and global strategy across the sales and product org to help drive company growth through people, process, and technology, initiatives.

To ensure success as a Senior Sales Engineer, you should have strong technical acumen, have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, have a passion for curiosity and discovery, be a strong creative problem solver, as well as be a strong confident leader. In addition, because of the depth of your experience and knowledge you will help to steer various facets of the Lytx technical sales strategy at the account and market level.

You’ll Get To:

  • Partner with Sales teams at the territory level and design targeted strategies for how we win.
  • Participate throughout the entire sales cycle at the prospect level – from discovery to solution validation.
  • Meet with clients and conduct deep business and technical discovery to understand their needs and challenges, develop opportunity relationships and connect business value
  • Assemble solutions and presentations that map value as well as drive compelling differentiated stories.
  • Assist with revenue engine support by providing insider insights, highlight opportunity expansions, support demand gen efforts as well as develop a strong ecosystem of content.
  • Manage your business by developing expertise, competitor intelligence and internal network as well as provide thought leadership and maintain a sales support environment.
  • Collaborate with sales team and product management to identify and distill product feature needs to help catalyze the product development lifecycle
  • Act as a technical product expert with the ability to speak in depth to product features, functionality, integrations, and futures.
  • Interface with internal departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of solution delivery.
  • Share best practices and learning with the Sales organization.
  • Contribute, refine, and evangelize overall Lytx solution strategies and tactics to help enable positive outcomes
  • Help drive internal product and process improvements across Lytx to improve market and solution fit

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree a plus
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in sales, product management, consulting, or related discipline
  • Experience working in a solutions sales organization with an advanced understanding of sales cycles and solutions selling process; formal training in strategic value selling a plus
  • Experience in the fleet telematics industry
  • A deeply curious mindset as well as strong problem solving approach
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with hardware and software systems
  • Experience mapping data, API’s and integrations
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to methodically understand and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficient in Excel and/ or other data visualization software
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and business users
  • Ability to travel to visit prospects and customers up to 20%
  • High-level communication skills, including experience presenting to C-Suite and ELT

Salary is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan. The expected hiring salary for this position is:

$141,500.00 - $178,500.00
