The Senior Accountant will act as the functional expert to the accounting team that is responsible for the following functions specific to the Lytx Israel Technologies entity: cash management, fixed asset additions and depreciation, purchases and payables, prepaid accounts and accruals, lease accounting, transfer pricing accounting policies and procedures, and the overall month end and quarter end close process. This role will include leading the day-to-day process during the annual statutory audit and maintain the bridge file from US GAAP to Israeli GAAP to support the statutory filing requirements. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for the payroll submission process on a monthly basis for the 40+ Lytx Israel employees and ensuring employees are maintained in the correct departments. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in multiple general accounting areas, be adaptive to a continuously evolving work environment, and have a desire to become a part of a growing, world-class organization. The Senior Accountant must have knowledge of US GAAP and Israeli GAAP accounting principles.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review Balance Sheets and Income Statements to identify fluctuations month over month to help analyze financial data and ensure accounts are complete and accurate as part of the month end close process.
- Owns the processing and review of monthly cash, prepaid accounts, purchases and payables, leases, and accrual accounts within the Balance Sheet.
- Review and approve all purchase orders and internal employee expense reports.
- Senior contact for our local bank accounts
- Senior contact with our local vendors
- Prepare and process monthly payroll including submission for processing.
- Owns the general ledger accounts for the Lytx Israel entity and makes recommendations and proposes changes as necessary.
- Senior contact for the annual statutory audit including supporting documentation and follow ups. Status updates expected to be concise and provided to senior management.
- Manages Lytx Inc./Lytx Israeli intercompany transactions and submits invoices to the proper regulatory bodies.
- Manages all purchasing tax processes ensuring timely and accurate recording and reporting with appropriate systems.
- Uses expertise to evaluate trending analysis of specific accounts and month-over-month changes.
- Prepare the monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsible for assisting in the overall control of Lytx Israel through the review and completion of controls in place.
- Onboarding for all new hires from a finance/accounting perspective (i.e. PO and T&E training through NetSuite).
- Creates the month end close process and improves the process as necessary going forward.
- Develops and standardizes policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned. Any other duties as assigned.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of Israel accounting laws and regulations. Some knowledge of U.S. GAAP is required.
- Strong analytical and accounting skills.
- Intermediate experience with MS Excel.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of enterprise accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting, preferably NetSuite.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting from an accredited university or equivalent is preferred.
- Fluent in Hebrew and English (required)
- Minimum of 4 years progressively responsible experience in accounting at a fast paced and growing company.
