The two primary responsibilities of the Manager, Office Security and Executive Protection (EP) are to 1) Manage all security functions for Lyft’s San Francisco (SF) office and 2) Provide (manage, support and/or coordinate) protection services for Lyft’s Executive Leadership. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience and qualifications with EP as well as a strong working knowledge of office security functions. The candidate must also work autonomously, have solid independent decision making skills and is highly collaborative.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and successfully manage office security strategy and programs
• Manage relationship and execution of office security program with third party security supplier
• Work and communicate effectively with cross functional partners related necessary daily operations, security incidents and relevant projects
• Respond to and manage security incidents at the Lyft SF office
• Manage security technology (CCTV, two-way radios, etc) for Lyft SF office
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with building and security management within the office space where Lyft does business
• Manage all aspects of EP for executive leadership (specifically the CEO). This includes in assisting with the development of risk and threat assessments and providing protection services needed
• Some travel may be required
• Respond professionally and quickly to internal feedback and inquiries
• A clear understanding of the importance of privacy, given the nature of information monitored, tracked, and discussed within this team
• A clear understanding that this job will require you to be on-call and to handle situations outside of a standard 9-5, and a willingness to step in to help when needed, regardless of time

Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years experience as EP and/or office security leadership (or performing similar functions)
• Experience in Safety and/or de-escalation is a plus
• Experience working with sensitive information
• Ability to make independent decisions within a broad procedural framework
• Ability to multi-task and meet short-term and high-intensity deadlines
• Be able to contribute to and thrive in a collaborative team environment
• Be able to work autonomously, and function in a schedule working alone
• Have strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Self-sufficient, highly motivated with desire to learn new technologies and industries
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with consistency and reliability
• BA / BS or equivalent experience
• Strong verbal and written communication with excellent English spelling and vocabulary
• Knowledge of and interest in monitoring ongoing current events
• Experience supporting 24/7 operation
• Firearms certification and weapons training
• Related EP training / certifications

Miscellaneous / Other

• This role is based out of the Lyft SF Office and requires at minimum 4 days/week in office (schedule could vary depending on job responsibilities)
• This role reports directly to the Head of Physical Security with a dotted line to Manager Physical Security, Offices and Field

The expected range of pay for this position in the US is $95,940 - $130,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
