As a Thermal Engineering Intern at Lunar Outpost, you will gain experience and training in Aerospace Thermal Analysis, familiarity with practical space/lunar environment heat transfer principles, aerospace thermal hardware, and thermal testing. In addition, interns will use the NASA standard thermal analysis tool, Thermal Desktop, to perform real-world thermal modeling and analysis tasks in support of Lunar Outpost's several flight projects focused on the expanding cis-lunar economy. All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products. This internship offers a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration at every stage of autonomous robotic development.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in STEM or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Can effectively demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, while also excelling in collaboration and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills under pressure and in stressful situations
  • Fueled by a passion for space exploration and the boundless possibilities beyond our world

Mid-May (May 18, 2026) to early August (August 7, 2026). Start and end dates are flexible with the intern's school schedule. In-person, Monday - Friday in Arvada, Colorado.
