Description
As a Systems Engineer at Long Wall, you will be responsible for the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the company’s IT infrastructure supporting engineering, corporate, and mission-critical operations. You will manage and maintain a complex ecosystem of servers, networks, endpoints, and enterprise applications, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient systems that enable every program and every mission. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to design, implement, and optimize IT solutions in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence while supporting Long Wall’s continued growth and mission execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, networks, servers, and virtualization environment
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual/physical servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Manage and maintain MDM for Apple devices.
  • Administration of various lines of business applications from Engineering
  • (CAD, ANSYS, Matlab, etc), corporate software (M365, Atlassian, SQL)

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration
  • or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • +5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use a computer to complete assignments
  • Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone, and telepresence
  • Ability to pick up to 50lbs
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

ITAR Requirement
This position requires access to information protected under US export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. 85000 - 125000 USD a year

This is the lowest-to-highest compensation range we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
