Finance & Business Planning Lead
Logos Space is a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite system purpose-built to serve the connectivity
needs of the commercial enterprise users and government users. We will help fill an important gap in the market, providing resilient, high-performance satellite-based connectivity services to enterprise and government customers worldwide. Business customers have contracts with agreed-upon performance standards for their broadband, and Logos will build these capabilities into the system from the beginning. Speed and reliability are the foundation of the system. Logos is designed to extend cloud and data center network connectivity anywhere in the world to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals.
Logos is led by a team of highly experienced engineers with proven track records in the networking and satellite industries.
Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Finance & Business Planning Lead at Logos Space will report to the Vice President of Corporate Development and Operations and will be a key contributor in our finance and business planning functions. This is a crucial role for a professional who will have technical ownership of our financial models, systems, and controls. The successful candidate will also be responsible for business planning, ensuring our financial strategy aligns with our long-term goals and operational needs.
This role requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of financial management within startup and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at building and maintaining robust financial models, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and preparing the company for future funding rounds and potential growth. You will also build and manage general business planning and operations. You will be instrumental in developing and executing our financial strategy and instilling a culture of operational excellence. You will provide critical insights to the leadership team and ensure the financial health of the company.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and maintain detailed financial models, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning. Provide regular reports and analysis to the leadership team and board of directors.
Business Planning: Work with the executive team to develop and refine the company’s business plan and translate business strategies into financial projections and targets.
Fundraising Support: Support future fundraising efforts by preparing financial presentations, due diligence materials, and investor-facing reports.
Basic Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, or related field
Experience
8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
Demonstrated experience managing financial operations and business planning in a startup or high-growth company.
Expertise in building and managing complex financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate and communicate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the aerospace, telecommunications, or technology sectors.
Experience with Series A funding rounds and preparing for subsequent fundraising.
Experience with government contracting or related financial regulations.
Estimated Base Salary
$230,000 - $260,000 per year (L7/8)
Your level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
