Lime is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our China team! In this role, you will report into the China Hardware team. You will have the opportunity to transform the way people travel around the world and make a significant contribution to improving our planet’s environment.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing the hardware systems that power Lime’s micro-mobility solutions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable products. This is an opportunity to directly influence the future of urban mobility through cutting-edge engineering.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for Lime’s hardware products.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.

  • Drive innovation in circuit design, PCB layout, and power systems to improve performance and reliability.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for complex electrical issues in production and field operations.

  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure quality standards for electrical components.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, design guidelines, and testing protocols.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team.

About you:

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on product design and development.

  • Proficiency in PCB design software (e.g., Altium) and simulation tools.

  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power systems, and embedded systems.

  • Experience with hardware testing and debugging using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (e.g., CE, FCC, UL).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.

  • English language proficiency is required (both written and verbal).

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the micro-mobility or automotive industry.

  • Knowledge of battery management systems and wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, LTE).

  • Familiarity with sustainable product design practices and life cycle analysis.
