The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Proposal Writer to join our team at LeoLabs. You will play a critical role in writing and managing proposals within our Market Development Team for US and International lines of business. The Market Development Team is responsible for driving growth through business development, managing customer relationships, and advancing partnerships for LeoLabs.
The Senior Proposal Writer responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams in the design, development, and delivery of compelling, compliant, and mission-relevant proposals and whitepapers. This role will work closely with account leads, technical leads/engineers, sales operations, legal/contracts, finance, and leadership to manage all aspects of proposal development, reviews, and submission deadlines. The role will be required to support multiple proposal efforts and whitepapers simultaneously, while ensuring deadlines are met. A strong attention to detail and ability to drive the proposal process with a cross-functional team are essential.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience. Master’s level degrees or equivalent is strongly preferred.
· Active US Top Secret clearance or have had Top Secret clearance in the past 10 years (This is mandatory for this role)
· Proven experience (7+ years) as a Senior Proposal Writer in a fast-paced technology environment
· Extensive experience in organizing, writing, editing, and reviewing compliant proposal for US government and international contracts
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to write and manage proposals with a cross-functional team
· Ability to manage multiple rounds of revisions for proposal documents across stakeholders
· Ability to use standard English writing styles and structures to write proposal sections; including the ability to research and synthesize information from multiple sources (including technical subject matter experts and relevant previous proposals) into a cohesive, and convincing final product
· Advanced word processing and document formatting experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, as well as the use and administration of SharePoint document libraries
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various business stakeholders
· Ability to work on-call outside of regular business hours to meet deadlines
Preferred qualifications
· Experience within the space and radar technology industry
· Experience utilizing the Shipley Proposal Process
Within 1 month, you’ll:
· Complete our onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision, and team
· Gain an understanding about how your role fits into LeoLabs broader organization
· Begin to support existing proposal efforts and develop 1-2 whitepapers
Within 3 months, you’ll:
· Be actively driving strategic proposals working with cross-functional stakeholders
· Lead writing of whitepapers 2-3 per month
Within 6 months, you’ll:
· Have achieved significant progress in submitting 2-3 $1M+ proposals
· Play a key role in developing and refining our proposal process and develop a content for proposals from which core information can be leveraged
· Regularly collaborating with stakeholders across the business
Within 12 months, you’ll:
· Be successfully contributing to the Market Development team’s role in growing the business
· Continual work with Sales Operations to maintain an organized proposal repository
· Promote a culture of excellent customer-focused proposal development across the organization

Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location. The salary range for this position in the SF Bay Area is $109,000 - $138,000 + bonus + stock options + benefits
The salary range for this position in the Washington, DC area is $101,000 - $128,000 + bonus + stock options + benefits
