Spectrum Coordinator

KSAT is a world leading Ground Stations provider of satellite communication services. Due to rapidly growing business KSAT is seeking a Spectrum Coordinator for the KSAT Spectrum Office in the Ground Services department.
The Spectrum Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating activities related to spectrum licensing, compliance, and monitoring. The role ensures that all licensing activities are handled efficiently, in line with national and international regulations (e.g., ITU), while supporting stakeholders and customers in their licensing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Licensing & Coordination
- Process and review applications for new spectrum licenses and license modifications.
- Ensure all licensing activities comply with national regulations and ITU Radio Regulations.
- Coordinate with national and international organizations (e.g., ITU, regional spectrum bodies) on frequency allocations and filings.
- Maintain accurate records of spectrum assignments, renewals, and modifications.
- Act as point of contact for license holders, operators, and stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to customers on spectrum licensing procedures and compliance requirements.
- Communicate clearly about costs, timelines, and obligations associated with the licensing process.
- Support enforcement activities.
- Ensure licensees operate within authorized technical parameters.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Spectrum Management, or related field.
Experience in either spectrum management, satellite communications, or regulatory/licensing roles
Experience with satellite networks, Earth stations, or microwave systems is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of frequency allocation and licensing frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory frameworks to practical licensing cases.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (with both technical and non-technical stakeholders).
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
