Your future position
We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Downstream team primarily located in Houston. You'll work at the intersection of data, engineering, and market expertise, helping us ensure world-class data quality for our petrochemical and NGL offerings. If you’re passionate about transforming raw market data into accurate, insightful, and scalable analytics — this role is for you.
Your mission:
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of LPG, ethane, and olefins market data.
- Identify technology and process improvements to efficiently and effectively process data which can improve data or even provide new insights/offerings to clients.
- Work closely with engineers to troubleshoot and improve backend ingestion pipelines.
- Use SQL and Python to automate data checks, streamline ingestion, and build internal tools.
- Monitor market news and developments, to first extract meaningful patterns and detect new trends.
- Collaborate across teams to improve forecasting models and support our Product managers to enhance business rules and algorithms.
- Lead quality control projects and provide mentorship to analysts across US and Asia.
- Respond to client requests with actionable insights and data-driven commentary.
It will be a match if you are or have:
- Circa 4–6+ years of experience in LPG, NGLs, or petrochemicals market analysis.
- You have experience working with large, disparate and/or unstructured data sets, with strong technical skills in SQL & Python.
- A keen eye for data integrity, automation, and operational excellence.
- The ability to lead initiatives, collaborate across time zones, and deliver under pressure.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data science teams.
- You can work and communicate in a virtual, international and cross-cultural environment.
