About the Role
As a Product Sales Specialist (PSS) focused on Kpler’s Maritime suite of products, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Based in Singapore, one of the world’s leading maritime hubs, you’ll serve as the key commercial expert for our portfolio of maritime products—including ship tracking, maritime risk & compliance, port operations, and beyond.
You’ll partner closely with regional Account Managers, New Business Directors, Product Marketing, and subject matter experts to ensure we win and retain clients across core APAC markets such as Singapore, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

  • Sales Enablement & Pre-Sales Leadership
  • Partner with sales reps across APAC to lead the sales cycle for maritime opportunities—from discovery through demos and trials to deal closure.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their maritime operations, regulatory challenges, and data needs.
  • Monitor product usage during trials and lead proactive engagement strategies to convert trials into wins.
  • Collaborate with internal experts (analysts, product managers, customer success) to deliver compelling solutions tailored to each market.

Go to market execution

  • Conduct whitespace analysis and opportunity mapping for maritime products across APAC.
  • Identify regional growth levers and influence territory planning with insights on market dynamics.
  • Support Marketing in localizing messaging and campaigns for APAC audiences; ensure a strong MQL to SQL pipeline.
  • Capture competitive intelligence in the region and enable the sales team with the right battlecards and messaging.

Product Intelligence & Feedback Loop

  • Aggregate and share market-specific feedback with Product, Marketing, and BU leaders to guide product development priorities.
  • Track APAC maritime industry trends and new regulations that could impact client needs or product opportunities.

KPIs & Success Metrics

  • Delta ARR growth from maritime deals in APAC.
  • Increased trial-to-conversion rates and shortened sales cycles across the region.
  • Growth of qualified pipeline for maritime products.
  • Volume and quality of market insights and competitive analysis fed into the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in maritime, commodity, or SaaS businesses in commercial or product-facing roles.
  • Regional expertise across **APAC maritime markets**—Singapore, Northeast Asia, Greater China, Australia, or Southeast Asia.
  • Deep understanding of ship tracking, maritime compliance, or related domains.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities a plus (Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean preferred but not required).
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and ability to navigate complex, technical sales cycles.
