Your future position
Kpler Insight is looking for an experienced Tanker Freight Analyst in London to help support and further develop our Tanker Freight research offering. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining in-house models, as well as producing market-driven content as part of Kpler's research offering.
Your mission is to:
- Identify, research, and report on interesting developments in Tanker Freight markets for Kpler Insight’s client base.
- Produce independent analysis of the current and projected trends in tanker freight markets using Kpler and external data sources.
- Communicate analysis of the tanker freight markets through regular written reports, presentations, webinars and meetings with clients and prospects.
- Promote research and market insights developed within Kpler across all external stakeholders, building relationships with both the mainstream and specialist media.
- Work with Kpler engineers, analysts and product owners to support the development of our freight market data and tools.
- Support the sales and customer success in articulating the value of Kpler research.
You could be a good fit if you...
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in analysing liquid tanker freight markets.
- A good understanding of global commodity trade flows, key commercial players and fundamental supply and demand drivers for freight markets.
- An understanding of freight arbitrage calculations.
- Are skilled at carrying out complex analysis across multiple datasets using appropriate tools (advanced Excel skills).
- Strong track record of producing insightful written market analysis.
- Fluent in English and possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate strong capabilities in logical thinking with attention to detail.
- Exposure to tools/languages such as SQL, Python or VBA.
- Experience with Data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
