As a Software Project Manager, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of software initiatives by managing execution, communications, and processes for the Kontakt.io Engineering team. You will report to the CTO and work closely with our Product Managers based in New York, US, ensuring effective communication, planning, and prioritization. Whereas the focus is on project delivery, process excellence, and cross-functional alignment, you will also play a meaningful role in shaping tactical product decisions—helping to refine requirements, unblock teams, and drive execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the communication bridge between Engineering teams and Product Managers and stakeholders in New York, ensuring alignment across all phases of project delivery.
- Act as the go-to person for updates on development progress, blockers, and delivery risks.
- Drive and coordinate day-to-day project execution for the Engineering team.
- Own and manage project timelines, sprint planning, and milestone tracking.
- Manage and communicate cross-team dependencies—you'll work proactively to ensure upstream and downstream teams are aligned and aware of critical interlocks.
- Maintain and optimize project workflows in Jira, ensuring tasks are well-scoped, up-to-date, and visible.
- Coordinate with multiple internal teams (Engineering, Security, SRE, Product) to ensure blockers are removed quickly and risks are escalated appropriately.
- Develop clear and comprehensive project documentation, including delivery plans, risk registers, and decision logs using Confluence and other collaboration tools.
- Identify and manage project risks, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Continuously improve delivery processes and team productivity by analyzing project metrics and feedback.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project management within a software or technology organization with familiarity with SaaS platforms, or B2B software development environments.
- Proven success in managing cross-functional communication and driving complex project coordination across distributed teams.
- Deep expertise in Jira and Confluence—you're highly comfortable building workflows, dashboards, reports, and collaborative documentation without overburdening engineering team
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when tracking interdependencies and timelines.
