Summary
The Value Stream Lead is a member of a Value Stream Manufacturing team. This position is responsible for collaboratively working with others to plan and execute manufacturing programs and build plans. Assisting with order placement and follow up related to purchased products, the Value Stream Lead enforces company policies to ensure on time product delivery. Reports to the Deputy Operations Manager.

- Manages schedule within Value Stream, deconflicts schedule and expedites as necessary
- Works with technical lead to ensure quality products
- Provides strategic leadership and recommendations to the President on purchasing, staffing, operations, and policies related to the Machine Shop
- Supervises machine shop staff
- Trains new machinists on Epicor functions and processes relevant to the Value Stream
- Manages machinist training cycles
- Organizes materials needed for jobs within the Value Stream
- Analyze Epicor Jobs ensuring material is available to fulfill scheduled orders
- Conduit between planning, engineering, quality, and technical lead
- Assists in quoting new work for Value Stream
- Works with Programs Managers to sell Value Stream capabilities and seek out new work
- Closes jobs within Epicor
- Helps determine burden rates within Value Stream
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- High School diploma
- Physical requirements of this position include: Standing and walking for extended periods of time throughout the work day, occasional use of stairs, and lifting up to 40 pounds
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated success in leadership roles
- AA degree in related discipline
- Aerospace and Defense industry experience
- 2+ years of experience with EPICOR or other ERP software
- Familiarity with AS9100 requirements and related quality management standards
