What You Will Do

  • Supports engineering staff in execution of CAD modeling, CAD management, mechanical drawings, bill of materials (BOM) generation, and assembly procedure writing.
  • Engages with planning and manufacturing, including external supplier interfacing and providing technical guidance.
  • Assists in electronic product data management of CAD and drawings.
  • Manages CAD structure and ultimate design tree to ensure alignment with internal and customer supply chain requirements.
  • Produces CAD part and assembly models and drawings using ASME Y14.5 best practices.
  • Additional tasks may include supporting prototyping, hardware assembly, development, testing, and product qualification.
  • May be required to support broader engineering and program management team in creation of other forms of technical documentation including but not limited to requirements and specifications, interface control documents, technical instructions, and technical planning documentation.
  • May be required to support proposal and presentation efforts through CAD models and illustrations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Required Education: High School Diploma
  • Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Candidate must be proficient in SolidWorks, 2+ years’ experience desired
  • Prior experience creating CAD drawings and models
  • Familiar with drawing conventions including geometric dimensioning & tolerancing
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and creativity in solving problems
  • Must be able to read and produce drawings, and technical diagrams
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and work independently with minimal oversight
  • Good communication and customer relationship skills are required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
