Multi-Site Facilities Manager

SUMMARY
The Multi-Site Facilities Manager owns the planning and execution of manufacturing facilities expansions and internal reconfigurations for Karman’s Energetics Systems Operational unit across multiple states including Washinton, Utah, and Alabama. This role will serve as the technical and programmatic integrator between manufacturing teams, facilities, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and external industrial/civil engineering partners. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget and in compliance with all regulatory, safety and operational standards. Reports to the General Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own manufacturing infrastructure planning for both facility expansion and internal facility reconfiguration
- Maintains working knowledge of state building, safety, and facilities‑related codes and regulations applicable to Washington, Utah, and Alabama, ensuring all maintenance activities remain compliant with jurisdictional requirements
- Define and maintain infrastructure requirements including:
Footprint and layout concepts
Process adjacencies and material flow considerations and infrastructure needs (power, HVAC, ventilation, etc.)
Building and site constraints
- Translate manufacturing intent into clear, actionable infrastructure scope
- Serve as the single-point owner for infrastructure execution, including:
Scope definition and control
Schedule development and tracking
Budget planning and execution

Manage vendor negotiations, contracts, and cost controls - Provide regular financial and project status reporting to senior leadership
- Supervise site facilities managers, mentor facilities department staff, and promote team development
- Partner closely with:
Manufacturing Engineering to understand process needs and constraints
Facilities to align with building standards, utilities, and long-term plans
EHS to ensure safe and compliant layouts and execution
Program and operations leadership to align priorities and timelines
• Oversee regional administration of the MaintainX including performance monitoring, data accuracy, and reporting of key operational metrics.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Required Education: High School Diploma
- 5+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, construction management, or capital project oversight
- Preferred experience in energetics manufacturing environment including adherence to specialized safety protocols, regulatory compliance requirements, and high-hazard operational standards.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional technical projects involving physical infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to own scope, schedule, and budget through execution.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to operate across technical, operational, and organizational boundaries
- Ability to travel >10-25%
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
