SUMMARY
The Human Resources Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day execution of HR operational processes for a multi-site aerospace and defense manufacturing organization. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of employee lifecycle transactions, maintains data integrity in HR systems, and delivers responsive operational support to employees and managers. The position operates within a regulated environment and follows established processes, documentation standards, and compliance requirements under the direction of the HR Operations Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Execute employee lifecycle transactions including new hire processing, job changes, compensation changes, transfers, leave status updates, and terminations in HR systems
- Prepare and maintain employee documentation, system records, and required forms to ensure compliance with California and company requirements
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes including coordination of documentation, system updates, and cross functional notifications
- Serve as first point of contact for HR operational inquiries from employees and managers, resolving routine questions and escalating complex issues appropriately
- Perform data audits and quality checks in HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems to ensure accuracy and consistency of employee records
- Support payroll and benefits teams with data validation, eligibility updates, and documentation needed for audits and reconciliations
- Maintain HR knowledge resources including forms, templates, and standard communications, ensuring materials reflect current policy and process
- Track and update case management or ticketing systems to ensure timely closure and accurate documentation of HR requests
- Assist with preparation of HR reports and metrics related to headcount, employee transactions, compliance tasks, and service volumes
- Support implementation of new HR processes, tools, or system enhancements through testing, documentation updates, and user support
- Follow documentation and process standards required in regulated manufacturing and defense environments, including support for audits and internal reviews
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of HR operations, HR coordinator, or HR generalist support experience
- Experience processing high volume employee transactions with strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of California employment related to compliance requirements
- Experience with HRIS transactions and data management; ADP or similar system experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured process driven environment
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other regulated industries
- Experience supporting payroll or benefits administration processes
- Experience working in a multi-site environment
